Why You Can’t Rely on Passion

Here’s the obvious truth. No one actually feels passionate all the time. Anyone that tells you otherwise is lying.

Passion comes in for a brief, fleeting moment. You never know when it will show up and it can (and will) bail on you at anytime.

You can’t rely on passion. That’s for amateurs (which literally means “one who loves”).

Instead, rely on dedication. Rely on determination. Rely on grit. They will be there for you day in and day out. Practice your mental game. Learn how to play hurt.
